Driver sought in Deerfield Beach hit-and-run that left pedestrians seriously injured

Authorities are searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run in Deerfield Beach last month that left two people seriously injured.
The incident happened around 8:20 p.m. on Aug. 29 as the man and woman were crossing the street in the 1500 block of East Hillsboro Boulevard, Broward Sheriff’s Office officials said.
They were struck by vehicle whose driver fled the scene. Both were hospitalized with serious injuries.
BSO on Wednesday released a flyer with a photo of the vehicle involved, believed to be a red SUV, possibly a Honda Fit that shoukd have front right damage.
A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call BSO at 954-480-4300.
