A violent confrontation inside a Northwest Miami-Dade restaurant has renewed concerns about customer safety after surveillance footage captured one woman repeatedly stabbing another during a fight.
Deputies were called to the area of NW 119th Street and 11th Avenue after receiving reports of a stabbing. According to investigators, the suspect followed the victim into Fritanga Pinolandia, where the altercation escalated almost immediately.
Video from inside the restaurant shows the two women arguing before the suspect lunges forward and appears to stab the other woman several times. The victim was wounded in the upper body and airlifted to a hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.

Authorities later identified the attacker as 22-year-old Damaris Rodriguez, who now faces an aggravated battery with a deadly weapon charge.
The restaurant’s owner said the incident terrified customers and highlighted an ongoing safety problem. He explained that both women—who he believes are homeless—have caused disturbances at the business before, and that he has tried repeatedly to keep them away.
He described the attack as frightening, saying the suspect was armed with scissors and that patrons panicked as the fight unfolded. Deputies located both women nearby shortly after the incident.
