Former NFL quarterback and current Fox Sports analyst Robert Griffin III and his family were involved in a serious multi-vehicle crash on Friday, October 3, in Fort Worth.
Police say the accident happened around 11:48 a.m. on the South Freeway and involved four vehicles. Photos posted by Griffin show their Mercedes Sprinter van with heavy front-end damage and a white sedan blocking traffic.
Griffin wrote on X that the van “ricocheted off the highway divider multiple times” and blew out both front tires, calling it “the worst car accident of our lives.” He added, “Thankful to God that my wife and kids are safe.”
One person was taken to a nearby hospital, but their condition has not been released.
Griffin, 35, was in Fort Worth to cover the TCU–Colorado football game. His wife, Grete, also shared online that she was grateful their three young daughters were unharmed.
