A fatal crash on the Palmetto Expressway in Miami-Dade County claimed the life of a man driving a black Toyota late Thursday night. Investigators with the Florida Highway Patrol said the wreck happened on the southbound ramp leading to Sunset Drive, also known as Southwest 72nd Street.
The Toyota was involved in a three-vehicle collision that included a white Mazda sedan and a blue Ford SUV before slamming into a median, two traffic signs, and a palm tree. Emergency responders pronounced the Toyota’s driver dead at the scene, and the Mazda’s driver was taken to Jackson South Medical Center with injuries.
