Officials have identified the individuals who were killed in a wrong-way crash in Millard County on Thursday morning.

Melissa MacDonald, 55, of North Miami Florida, died after the crash and was identified as the driver of one of the vehicles. The other victim, a 10-year-old boy, was a passenger in the other vehicle.

According to Utah highway patrol, a Toyota Corolla — which was being driven by MacDonald — was traveling southbound in a northbound lane of I-15. The other vehicle, a Dodge truck, was traveling northbound.

The two vehicles collided head-on around 5:15 a.m. on Oct. 17, near mile marker 132, according to officials. MacDonald and the 10-year-old boy died after the crash.

The driver of the truck and two other juvenile passengers were taken to local hospitals, and officials said they had serious injuries.

“All occupants appear to have been wearing seatbelts,” UHP said in a press release.
