According to a spokesperson for the Lighthouse Point Police Department, four individuals were taken to the hospital after being involved in a horrific rollover crash on Lighthouse Point in Fort Lauderdale. The accident took place near the intersection of NE 36th Street and North Federal Highway just after 1pm on Saturday September 12, 2020. According to lighthouse point officers, there were two vehicles involved in the rollover crash: a Toyota Camry and a convertible. Both cars were severely damaged and had to be towed from the scene of the crash. Emergency first responders transported the victims to Broward Health North in critical condition. Police shut down Federal Highway between Northeast 39th and 44th streets in both directions while they investigated. The roadway has since reopened. An investigation is still ongoing as to the cause of the crash. No further details have been released at this time.
