A spokesperson for the Broward Police Department says a serious rollover accident involving 2 vehicles injured 4 people on Wednesday July 29. The accident around 5 p.m. on the Interstate 95 southbound just north of Sunrise Blvd. According to a spokesperson for the Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue, the accident involved two vehicles and 3 of the injured occupants were taken to a hospital nearby astrauma alerts while one of the four passengers was a child who sustained nonlife threatening injuries. Additionally, a firefighter was also injured during the process of extricating the occupants from the two vehicles. At this time, the cause of the accident is unknown, but officials are conducting an investigation. No further information is available at this time.
