Florida’s Turnpike northbound is completely shut down due to a deadly crash in Broward County early Monday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Drivers are being forced off at Exit 62 for Commercial Boulevard/State Road 870.
It was not immediately clear what caused the crash, or who had died. Video showed at least two vehicles smashed into smithereens.
Take U.S. 441 as an alternate route, as a crash on Interstate 95 is also causing delays.
Authorities worked the scene, and a blue tarp went up near one of the cars.
