According to a spokesperson for the Doral Police Department, three drivers were airlifted to the hospital after a serious accident involving 3 different vehicles. The accident occurred on July 11 at around 2 am near the intersection of NW 87th Avenue and NW 58th Street in Doral. One man was fatally injured when a driver went through a red light and struck his vehicle which then caused a chain reaction style accident. Fire rescue arrived on the scene and found three victims in 3 different vehicles. Sadly, one of the passengers in a vehicle was pronounced dead on the scene while the other two victims were taken to Ryder trauma center via helicopter for medical treatment. Miami-Dade Police had their Traffic Homicide Unit conduct an investigation. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
