Davie Fire Rescue units transported a Florida Highway Patrol trooper to the hospital after he was injured in a serious accident with two other vehicles on Saturday afternoon near 7600 Griffon Road. FHP, Davie Police and Davie Fire Rescue units responded to the scene of the crash in the area of Griffin Road and University Drive where a white sports car had its front wheels up against a median wall. There was also a black Honda sedan that appears to have been involved in the crash.
Paramedics transported the trooper to Memorial Hospital Pembroke in unknown condition. Officials have not specified whether or not the civilians in the other vehicles were injured. Police shut down the bridge at 7600 Griffin Road for several hours while they investigated. It has since reopened to traffic.
