According to a spokesperson for the Miami-Dade Police, a man has been arrested for driving under the influence after police officers say the man collided into a police officer’s vehicle in Southwest Miami-Dade, Saturday, leaving an officer in critical condition. According to Miami-Dade Police, the crash took place at approximately 8pm on NW 12thStreet at the entrance ramp of Florida’s Turnpike. The officer was transported to a local hospital in critical condition while police say the driver sustained minor injuries and was treated on scene. No further details have been released.
