A pedestrian was killed in a crash that took place in West Park on Thursday, March 5th. The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of West Hallandale Beach Boulevard and Southwest 40th Avenue. Deputies with the Broward Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene shortly after the incident occurred. According to police, the unidentified pedestrian was struck and killed at the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene after the crash took place. Authorities have not identified the victim at this time. Hallandale Beach Boulevard was closed in both directions shortly after the collision but later reopened. Our condolences go out to the family of the victim in this fatal West Park crash.
