According to the Miami-Dade Police Department, a white car and a Chevy Tahoe crashed into each other at the intersection of Northwest 19th Street and Northwest 23rd Avenue. After the first collision the vehicles then struck a third vehicle that was stopped at a red light as well. Emergency first responders arrived at the scene of the accident and administered first aid to the victims before taking them to the hospital for further treatment.
All three of the drivers had to be taken to the hospital having sustained serious injuries. Two passengers in the third car received critical injuries and had to be airlifted to a nearby trauma medical center. The identities of the individuals involved in the crash are yet to be released by the authorities. The road was shut down and blocked while officials worked to clear the wreckage and debris from the crash site. Officials say the incident remains under investigation.
