Tragedy in Miami: 15-year-old student dies during school water polo tournament

The educational community of Miami is in mourning for the sudden death of Lucas Osuna, a 15-year-old student and athlete from Belen Jesuit Prep School, who passed away unexpectedly while participating in a water polo tournament.
The unfortunate incident occurred on Friday during an invitational tournament held at Ransom Everglades, where parents and referees desperately tried to save his life.
Osuna, a tenth-grade student and a prominent member of the school’s water polo team, began playing this sport in sixth grade with the Miami Whitecaps Water Polo Club.
It has not been specified whether the teenager was playing at the time he collapsed, nor has the exact cause of death been confirmed.
Belén School announced that in the coming days, more information will be provided about the preparations and ceremonies in honor of the student.
