Authorities were responding to a violent crash with injuries on the Florida’s Turnpike in Miramar on Thursday morning.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the crash happened in the southbound lanes of the Turnpike at mile marker 45 near University Drive.
Video showed a dump truck that had crashed into a median, as the driver appeared to be trapped behind the wheel. On the other side of the roadway, a sedan was stopped amid debris.
Drivers should expect heavy delays as at least three lanes are blocked, according to signage seen on live video on the Florida Department of Transportation’s traffic website.
