A fatal crash on Tuesday afternoon closed the southbound lanes of the Florida Turnpike near Griffin Road, leading to major traffic disruptions and a tragic outcome.
According to investigators, the accident claimed the life of one woman, while a baby was rushed to a local hospital for medical attention.
Seven other individuals were also transported to local hospitals, though their conditions have not yet been released
Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the crash, and the investigation is ongoing.
Traffic in the area was heavily impacted as emergency crews worked to clear the scene and assist those involved.
