A woman was taken to the hospital Saturday morning after suffering injuries while crossing the Brickell Bridge as it was opening, police said.

According to Miami Police, officers arrived at the bridge at around 10:43 a.m. after receiving reports of a person who was injured.

When officers found the woman, she was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Her condition and identity are unknown.

Video captured the moment when the woman was seen hanging from the bridge and then fell to the ground.

Walsh, who was a trained lifeguard when he lived in Sydney, Australia, assisted the woman with the help of others until she was transported to the hospital.

Miami Fire Rescue also took an officer to the hospital who sustained a laceration on their hand due to shattered glass that was in the area.
