Head-on Car Accidents in South Florida

A head-on collision or frontal crash occurs when two drivers collide with one another while going in opposite directions on the road. Studies show that these types of accidents can result in serious harm or fatality to those involved due to the severity of the injuries that are usually sustained. Head-on car accidents can occur for a variety of reasons. In some instances, they are caused by one driver who mistakenly drives on the wrong side of a road or highway. In other cases, it may be caused by drunk driving or distracted driving. Some additional factors that may cause a headon collision accident include things like inclement weather, road conditions, or even unexpected  tire blow outs. What is most concerning about these types of accidents is that the injuries can be very serious. Part of the reason for this is that unlike other types of car accidents, in a head-on collision, the passenger is thrown forward into the steering wheel and airbag and possibly through the windshield if unbelted. It is a given that in these accidents the airbags will deploy which can cause additional injuries. It can be challenging to determine fault in a head-on crash because the impact from the crash may send both vehicles in different directions, putting them in different positions than they were in at the time of the initial impact. If you or someone you love was involved in a head-on collision, you will have to show that the other driver involved in the accident was negligent in order to recover compensation for your injuries.
