ATV Crash Leaves 2 Injured In Miami-Dade

ATV Crash Leaves 2 Injured in Miami-Dade

Two people were injured during a crash involving an all-terrain vehicle on Thursday in Miami-Dade County’s Redland area, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. Officers and Fire Rescue personnel responded to 21801 SW 182 Ave. Fire Rescue used a helicopter to take one of the people injured to Jackson South’s Ryder Trauma Center. All-Terrain Vehicles are 3 or 4 wheeled motorized vehicles used for off-road riding and they have gained vast popularity in the last few years. In many ways, these vehicles are ideal for recreation, rescue efforts, and quick, easy transportation in off-road areas.

However, accidents occur very often. Don’t take chances with your rights after an accident on a three-wheeler. If you or someone you know has been injured by a careless or negligent rider, getting in contact with a lawyer is the first step in reclaiming what you’ve lost. The negligent party has a legal mandate to compensate victims for their injuries. A knowledgeable attorney can help you maximize the compensation that you receive for your suffering. Common Causes of ATV Accidents

● Driving an ATV on a paved surface.
● Riding double on an ATV that isn’t designed to carry a passenger.
● Letting inexperienced operators ride without an experienced riding partner.
● Riding without adult supervision.
● Performing dangerous stunts and maneuvers.
● Operating in unfamiliar areas or terrain.
● Failing to observe state laws and local ordinances.

ATV Accidents in South Florida

ATVs are very popular for kids and teens in South Florida and they are increasingly useful tools when hunting and camping or getting around on large farms and ranches. But the fun of riding an ATV can turn sour quickly in the event of an accident. In Florida, ATVs are an extremely popular way to explore and enjoy the outdoors.

Although they are often considered toys, ATVs pose many threats for riders, so it’s important to follow safety precautions when riding. In Florida, ATVs operated on public land must be titled, but the state does not require registration. Riders younger than 16 must wear eye protection and a helmet, and ATVs are not allowed to be operated on paved roads. That doesn’t seem like very many guidelines for a vehicle that can cause serious injury and death, so we recommend enrolling in an ATV training course to help riders understand the dangers involved.

The State of Florida does require ATV manufacturers to provide training courses. ATVs, just like any other vehicle, have been known to have manufacturing defects. Many vehicles have been recalled, but that has done little to reduce the number of four-wheeler accidents, injuries and deaths caused while riding an ATV.
