At least one person has been taken to the hospital after the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV crashed into another car in Northwest Miami-Dade County. A spokesperson for the Miami-Dade Police Department says the crash occurred near NW 57th Avenue and 12th Street early Tuesday morning. According to the spokesperson for the Miami-Dade Police Department, the jeep SUV was seen traveling at an excessive rate of speed and then as the driver lost control of the vehicle, hit a pedestrian making their way across the crosswalk. The driver then attempted to flee the scene of the crash but was later apprehended by authorities. No further details have been released.
