A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Lauderdale Lakes Sunday night, deputies said.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, deputies received reports of a crash that happened near the 3500 block of West Oakland Park Boulevard around 7:30 p.m.
When BSO and fire rescue crews arrived at the scene, they found the crash that involved a motorcycle and a pickup truck.
The driver of the motorcycle was also found and pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was not released.
Surveillance video obtained from a nearby business shows the pickup making a U-turn, and the motorcycle trickling behind.
A witness said she heard a loud crash in front of her restaurant and found a man with injuries lying on the ground.
In this video, the witness is speaking to a man, who says he was the one driving the pickup truck.
What caused the two vehicles to collide is unknown at this time.
An investigation into the fatal crash remains active.
