According to a spokesperson for Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, the driver lost control while heading northbound on Seventh Avenue. The spokesperson says the vehicle flipped over the median and down an embankment onto its side near Northwest 42nd Street. Officers say the cause of the crash remains under investigation. Firefighters with the department’s technical rescue team used cutting tools to remove a person who was trapped inside, Sanchez said. Paramedics took the person to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. The driver’s current state has not been revealed. No further details have been released.
