According to a spokesperson for the Miami-Dade Police Department, a cross-county  police chase has ended in Miramar after an hour-long chase where police officers chased  after a black Infiniti, they encountered near NW 183rd Street and 37th Avenue around  8:30am in the morning. A Miami-Dade Police helicopter tracked the vehicle until the driver  continued into Pembroke Pines and Miramar in Broward County. Police then advised  authorities in Broward County about the vehicle. The driver later pulled into a shopping  plaza at 2600 South University Drive in Miramar before parking the vehicle. Aerial views  showed the vehicle parked next to a pink van. According to the spokesperson, the officers  responded to the scene to assist Miami-Dade Police officers with the case when they  received a report of a disturbance at a Dunkin’ in the plaza. The subject who caused the  disturbance was detained by Miramar Police officers and was held for Miami-Dade Police  to determine if they were the driver who led officers on the chase. Miami-Dade Police nor  Miramar Police have confirmed if the man who was arrested is the driver from the chase.  Thankfully, no one was hurt in this multi-county police chase. Common Myths and Misconceptions About Your Car Accident Claim

  1. The insurance company will be fair. Despite what you may think, insurance  companies are not on your side. From the moment you file a claim after an accident,  their goal is to reduce the amount of compensation you will be entitled to.
  2. The insurance company will pay your medical expenses promptly. The insurance  company is not required to and will not pay your medical bills as you submit them. The  insurance company will only pay you once you reach a settlement of all your claims.
  3. Requests for Recorded Statements. There is no requirement that you provide the  insurance company for the at-fault driver any written or recorded statement. In fact,  these statements can be extremely prejudicial to your car accident claim.
  4. My insurance company will cancel my insurance if I make a claim. Florida law  gives you certain rights regarding your automobile insurance. Often, it is faster and  much more beneficial to make a claim under your own insurance instead of waiting  for the other driver’s insurance while they drag their heels on your claim.
