According to a spokesperson for the Florida Highway Patrol, three victims have been airlifted to a hospital following a rollover crash with multiple vehicles on Alligator Alley in West Broward. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue crews responded to the crash near Mile Marker 45 at around 7pm last night. Two of the victims had to be put on a life-support system due to traumatic injuries sustained in this accident. It was further reported that two others sustained various degrees of injuries. The driver of one of the cars involved in the crash and a passenger were both found unconscious when paramedics arrived. EMS crews reportedly arrived at the scene and had to airlift the injured victims to a nearby hospital. Officials said the driver behind the wheel of a pickup truck lost control and the vehicle rolled over several times. Both directions of Alligator Alley were shut down for approximately an hour, but the roads have since reopened. The spokesperson for the Police said they will conduct a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the crash. No further details have been released. This multi-car accident occurred on Alligator Alley which is one of the deadliest highways in South Florida. The crash resulted in serious injuries and no fatalities.
