According to a spokesperson for the Miami-Dade Police Department, there was an accident that occurred at the intersection of 117th Avenue and Kendall Drive in SW Miami Dade. There were two cars involved in the crash. It appears that one of the drivers ran a red light and struck another driver who was entering the intersection. Emergency first responders arrived at the accident scene and found two drivers with injuries. Both drivers were rushed to Kendall Regional Hospital. One woman sustained life-threatening injuries in the crash and is in critical condition. The other driver sustained minor injuries but was also transported to the hospital. No further details have been released.
