According to a spokesperson for the Homestead Police Department, six individuals were injured in a three-car crash last Friday just after 9pm. Among the injured, there were two children who had to be transported to the nearest hospital.The children were 13 and 7 years old. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials responded to the scene of the multi-vehicle crash just after it occurred. According to the police report, the collision happened shortly after the traffic light at the intersection of 328th Street and 137th Avenue went out due to heavy rain and lightning in the area. All six occupants were injured but are all expected to make a recovery. No further details have been released.
